From the same 2018 class, I wanted to redesign an even older character I thought up as a kid when watching Martin Mystery on Teletoon. An alien queen I named Rena. I fleshed out her design to make her more fish like while I made her attire a bit reminiscent of Wonderwoman (movie).
I exprimented with more angular shapes and a flatter look to see if it would make her more expressive or at least more appealing.
Her old color scheme before it was changed was this. After feedback, I realized her appearance was too close to Ultra Man and less so that of a fish. Click this link to learn more.
